Macomb (27-5) ended the game on a 26-5 run to shock #3 Manual, 41-40, in the semifinals of the IHSA 2A Canton Sectional Wednesday.
The Bombers trailed 34-16 midway through the third quarter before beginning the rally. Macomb senior Dion Doyle made a pair of free throws with six seconds left in regulation to give the Bombers their first lead. Reggie Postlewaite missed a three-pointer as time expired for Manual.
Doyle led Macomb with 15 points. Braden Holthaus added 12 points for the Bombers in the win.
Dietrich Richardson scored a team-high eight points for the Rams.
Macomb advances to play Rockridge (26-6) in the sectional championship Friday in Canton. The Rockets beat the Bombers, 36-33, in the championship of the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament in December.
