The IHSA released regional brackets for the upcoming boys basketball postseason Friday afternoon.
The 2A Mercer County Regional consists of Sherrard, Orion, Mercer County, Monmouth-Roseville, Kewanee and Alleman. The regional quarterfinal matchups are Mercer County hosting Alleman and Kewanee traveling to Monmouth-Roseville on Monday, Feb. 24. The Kewanee/Monmouth-Roseville winner will play Sherrard in the semifinal round, while the winner of Mercer County/Alleman will take on Orion in the second semifinal in Aledo on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
The teams at the 2A Macomb Regional are Rockridge, Macomb, Canton, Farmington and Knoxville. The only regional quarterfinal matchup is Knoxville at Farmington on Monday, Feb. 24. The winner will play Rockridge in the semifinals in Macomb on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The second semifinal game is set between Macomb at and Canton.
Both regional championship games will take place Friday, Feb. 28.
