Mercer County and local State Rep. Dan Swanson impacted by the new legislative maps released by Illinois Democrats late last week. Democrats control both the Illinois House and Senate, giving them the upper hand on the redistricting process and the drawing of district boundaries. Swanson discussed the redraw with WRMJ Tuesday morning.
The redistricting committees said they plan to hold 4 hearings this week to gather feedback from the public before lawmakers vote on the maps.
