A Joy man has been arrested on predatory criminal sexual assault of a child charges.
According to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release, deputies took 38-year-old Eric Thirtyacre into custody on Wednesday.
Thirtyacre is being held in the Mercer County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Joy Police Department, Aledo Police Department and DCFS in the investigation.
