The Rock Island and Mercer County Farm Bureaus are partnering with the Illinois Fire Service Institute and Sherrard FFA to host a grain bin safety program for local “Farmers and First Responders” at Sherrard High School.
The Illinois Fire Service Institute’s Dave Newcomb says the program is Saturday, September 12th and will include a hands-on, live simulation grain bin entrapment. Two sessions will be held: 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. You can register for the program by contacting the Mercer County Farm Bureau at 582-5116.
