Golden Eagles Snap Losing Streak At Riverdale

Mercer County (3-3) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 71-56 win at Riverdale (5-1) in boys basketball Friday.

The Golden Eagles led 33-25 at halftime before Riverdale went on an 18-6 run to take a 43-39 lead late in the third quarter. Mercer County would outscore Riverdale the rest of the game 32-13 to take control.

Lucas Collison paced Mercer County with 23 points. William Fredrickson was also in double figures for the Golden Eagles with 14 points.

Riverdale’s Jake Willems was the game’s leading scorer with 29 in the loss.
