Deer are on the move in Mercer County. There were four deer/vehicle accidents over the weekend in all parts of the county. One near Preemption, one near Alexis, one near Joy and one just outside of Aledo involving an Aledo squad car. It is archery deer season and harvest season is wrapping up so deer will continue to be on the move, mostly in the evening, overnight and early morning hours. The first weekend of firearm deer season is November 16th through the 18th.
