Mercer County and Rockridge picked up conference wins in high school volleyball Thursday night. The Golden Eagles topped Wethersfield in an exciting three game match, 25-14, 14-25, 27-25. Kristin Cox lead Mercer County with 20 kills. Natalie Finch had 34 assists. Rockridge beat Orion in a three game match, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20. The Rockets Kierney McDonald had 13 kills and Nicole Sedam had 32 assists. Orion was lead by Hailey James with 12 kills and Ashley Awbrey had 17 assists. Sherrard was stopped by Fulton for the second time this week 25-13, 25-17.
In junior high girls basketball Rockridge’s 7th graders beat Knoxville 27-21 while the 8th graders lost 36-15.
