Mercer County took to the mat and the court Tuesday night looking to advance in state tournament competition but came up short. At the Dual Team Sectionals, the Golden Eagles almost pulled the upset over Heyworth and at the Sherrard Regional the basketball team fell to top seeded Sterling Newman.
