The Mercer County High School Band is in need of new uniforms and a fundraising event is being held on December 30th featuring Dueling Pianos. Find more information here. The current uniforms are 13 years old.
Country Financial Agents John Waugh, Brent Bigham, Jason Potter, and Tracy Bigham are donating a combined $6,000 to help the “Mercer County Marching 100” band booster fundraising effort.
All four agents stopped by the WRMJ downtown studios to encourage others to give to the MCHS band. New uniforms carry a $90,000 price tag.
On WRMJ’s Focus Program the Country Financial agents told WRMJ the band is a source of pride in the community and new uniforms are a way to share that pride.
