The City of Aledo is still confident that a driver’s services facility will return.
Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch told WRMJ on Monday that the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office has made multiple trips to the city to view a potential downtown location. However, it’s still at least a couple of months away from a new Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) location potentially opening in Aledo.
The Aledo DMV location closed last June after the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office said it was unable to reach an agreement with its landlord on a new lease.
