Western Illinois Congresswoman Cheri Bustos was asked about allegations against Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden. The question came up during her weekly press conference with reporters late last week.
Biden says the sexual assault allegations against him from the 1990s aren’t true. Tara Reade, a former Senate aide who worked in Biden’s office, has alleged he assaulted her in 1993. Appearing Friday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Biden said that Reade’s story should be scrutinized for inconsistencies and accused her of constantly changing that story. Reade says if her 1993 complaint against Joe Biden is found, it will not include the accusation of sexual assault. Reade told NBC News in a text Saturday she’s not sure which words she used in her 1993 complaint about sexual harassment and retaliation.
