A Davenport man appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court Monday for a pre-trial conference on three Class X felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. The matter was continued to October 1st for 33 year old Antonio Cortez Williamson. The case involves one child under the age of 13, according to Mercer County State’s Attorney Meeghan Lee. The matter was investigated by the New Boston Police Department with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. Williamson was arrested late last month and remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $250,000 bond. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction.
