A New Boston man denied in his attempt to reduce bond in a criminal sexual assault case. 25 year old Joshua Masters faces a Class 1 felony. He was taken into custody earlier this month after Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 911 call in New Boston. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the New Boston Police Department and Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services. Masters remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail on $100,000 bond. A pre-trial conference is set for July 22nd.
