The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of several gas meter thefts in the Matherville area late last month. As a result, they announced an arrest this week. 55 year old Ronald Paul Miller of Matherville was taken into custody Wednesday for theft and criminal trespass to property, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release. Miller was released pending a court appearance.
