April Geisinger Minteer, 46 of Aledo, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Aledo Rehabilitation and Health Center. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 21, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services, Aledo. Memorials may be left to the April E. April Elaine Geisinger was born March 23, 1976, in Aledo, IL, the daughter of Carl and Kathleen Houdyshell Geisinger. She married Kenneth Minteer August 18, 2014, in Aledo. She was a 1995 graduate of Mercer County Schools.
April loved flowers, enjoyed watching the hummingbirds, feeding stray cats, working puzzles, and drawing and coloring mosaic pictures.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Kenneth; one son, Bob Minteer of Wisconsin; one daughter, Natasha Beard of Oskaloosa, IA; and one step-daughter, Tiffany Minteer of the Quad Cities; five grandchildren, Silas, Serenity, Colt, Luna, and Roman; her mother, Kathleen Fearn of Seaton; her father, Carl Geisinger; two brothers, Jeremy Geisinger of Tennessee and Benjamin Geisinger of Aledo; two sisters, Belinda Baxa of Morris, IL, and Tracy Geisinger of Milan, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Fearn in 2014.
