Another development concerning the ongoing debate involving a motorsports park in Mercer County. An appeal has been filed challenging the rezoning of the property says Mercer County State’s Attorney Grace Simpson. The matter involves Mercer County Motorsports—located west of Matherville.
A public hearing date has not been scheduled at this time. It could be held at next Tuesday’s regular Mercer County Board meeting.
Mercer County Motorsports opened earlier this month, but announced on their Facebook page that they have shut down while the appeal process plays out.
