Baseball Signups Underway Mayor Hagloch announced that baseball signups are beginning soon, with Aledo’s new director, Troy Blaser, taking the lead. Signups, which will be available online through the city’s website in partnership with the YMCA, will kick off at the end of the month. Those unable to register online can visit the YMCA in person for assistance. Softball signups will follow later in the season.
Market Plaza Celebration Planned Exciting developments are underway at Market Plaza, formerly known as the old Central Park parking lot. Mayor Hagloch revealed that a ribbon-cutting ceremony is in the works for April. The city hopes to host state and local leaders, including the governor, to celebrate Aledo’s growth and revitalization.
E-Cycle Program Returns Aledo’s E-Cycle program is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, at the Public Works Department. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon and resumes from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. The program, held on the first and third Thursdays of each month, allows residents to dispose of electronics and paint.
