Aledo Main Street has reached an important milestone. It’s the 20th year, and one of the key players that was instrumental in pushing for the program was former downtown business owner Jerry Hall of Hall’s Shoes. He has moved away but was back in town last May. He was pleased to see the transformation of the Hall’s Shoes building, now owned by downtown developer W.J. Albertson.
Hall’s family roots in downtown Aledo date back over 120 years.
Aledo Main Street was officially recognized in 2002.
