The City of Aledo approved two new hires this week.
At Monday’s City Council meeting, Scott Earl was named the city’s new Parks and Recreation Superintendent. The position had been vacant since Troy Blaser resigned as Parks and Recreation Director in July.
Aledo Mayor Chris Haglogh spoke with WRMJ about the responsibilities of the position, which is shared between the City of Aledo, Aledo Park District and Mercer County Family YMCA.
Earl will start on Jan. 5.
Also on Monday, the City of Aledo hired Caleb Vanderheyden as an Aledo police officer. He will begin his position on Jan. 4.
