A-Town (5-3, 2-1 LTC) held on in the fourth quarter to defeat Mercer County (5-4, 2-1 LTC) in Aledo Wednesday in girls basketball, 44-42.
The Tornadoes had a 20-11 advantage at halftime and led by as many as 11 points in the win. The Golden Eagles tied the game twice in the fourth quarter, but never took the lead.
Kennedy Quinn scored a game-high 23 points for A-Town in the win. Hailey Redding added 15 points for the Tornadoes.
Maddie Hofmann led Mercer County with 13 points, all of which came in the second half.
