The City of Aledo has raised the fee for a Peddler’s License and the fines for not having a permit.
At last week’s city council meeting, the City approved raising the fee for peddlers to $100 per person per day. The fine for solicitors not having a permit will now be $250 per person for the first offense, $300 per person for the second offense, and $500 per person for each subsequent offense.
Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch says it’s a move many communities have made.
The previous fee was $50 on the first day and $10 per day thereafter.
