Mercer County School District Superintendent Tim Farquer says he’s supportive of Unit 404 exploring a property tax abatement program to promote residential development. He was at Tuesday night’s Mercer County Board meeting as that government body has been discussing the issue.
The Mercer County Board has been discussing a property tax abatement resolution for several months, but the matter was tabled Tuesday night as Mercer County State’s Attorney Grace Simpson will finetune the language before final action.
