The Mercer County School District in search of a new superintendent. Scott Petrie informed the Unit 404 Board of Education this week that he is retiring at the end of the school year. The school board has scheduled a special meeting next Thursday to discuss superintendent search with the Illinois Association of School Boards. Petrie was hired as Mercer County superintendent in February 2016
