Phyllis A. Titterington, 91 of Taylor Ridge, IL, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Mercer Manor in Aledo. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 2, at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial will take place at the Edgington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service where memorials may be left to the Edgington Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Phyllis was born on June 7, 1932, in Buffalo Prairie to Elliott and Mergie Smith Boney. She married Lowell W. Titterington on March 2, 1952, in the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church.
Phyllis obtained a Master of Science degree in Nursing and became a Nurse Practitioner in 1987. She worked in both Illinois and Arizona, before fully retiring in 2013. Her memberships include Edgington Presbyterian Church, the Friendship Force Club, the Andalusia Eastern Star, the Rockridge School Board, and Sigma Theta Tau Sorority.
Her passions involved making jewelry, and she enjoyed cooking and playing cards as well as spending time with her family. Phyllis always enjoyed traveling with Lowell as a member of the Friendship Force Club.
Survivors include her daughters: Karen (Les) Price of Scottsdale, AZ, Kathy (Kevin) Patterson of Palo Alto, CA, Lisa (Butch) Carver of Taylor Ridge, IL, and Lori (Paul) Rash of Grapevine, TX: grandchildren: Amber, Kaitlyn, Kelly, Ralph, Joshua, Julia, and Jenna; great-grandchildren: Easton, Ayla, Clayton, and August; sister: Donna Mae Komadino of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law: Carol Ann Boney of Aledo, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lowell; grandson: Clayton Carver; brother: Edgar Boney; and brother-in-law: Payo Komadino.
