Mercer County (2-6) fell on the road to Newman Central Catholic (9-2) in three sets in volleyball Tuesday. The Golden Eagles took the first set, 25-19. The Comets rallied to win the final two sets of the night, 25-23, 25-18.
Orion (8-0, 3-0 TRAC West) beat Sherrard (12-2-1, 2-1 TRAC West) in three sets in battle atop the TRAC West standings, 25-17, 23-25, 25-16.
