The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department announcing the second arrest in the shooting death of Rockridge senior Daniel Taylor.
16-year-old Napoleon Jackson was taken into custody Wednesday in Newton, Iowa. He is being charged as an adult with first degree murder, home invasion and aggravated battery.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday for first-degree murder and is being charged in juvenile court, so his name has not been released.
Taylor, 17, was found inside his Milan home last Friday with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into his death continues with additional charges possible, according to a Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department Press Release.
Jackson is being held in Iowa and awaiting extradition back to Rock Island County.
