No final decision has been made, but discussions have begun between Mercer County High School and the Three Rivers Athletic Conference. Principal Andrea Cooper attended the January 9th TRAC principals meeting. She spoke with WRMJ Wednesday night at the Unit 404 Board of Education meeting.
TRAC principals are meeting virtually January 24. Sterling Newman principal Jennifer Oetting serves as TRAC president. She says at this time there is no definitive date on when a vote would be taken concerning Mercer County.
A conference change would also likely require a vote by the Mercer County Board of Education, according to Superintendent Scott Petrie.
