The Rockridge Rockets advanced to state with a 1-0 win over Richmond-Burton Monday afternoon in the IHSA Class 2A Super-Sectional game at Eastside Center in East Peoria. The Rockets ace Kendra Lewis shut down Richmond-Burton to improve to 23-0 on the season. The lone run in the game came in the bottom of the third when Payton Brown doubled and then scored on a Bailah Bogner sacrifice fly. The win gave the Rockets their 63rd win in a row and they improved to 33-0 on the season. They will meet Pontiac in the semi-finals Friday afternoon at 3.
