The Mercer County School Board will consider approving an architecture firm to proceed with a classroom addition at the Mercer County Intermediate School this week. Retaining Phillips and Associates for the work is on Wednesday night’s agenda. The Unit 404 Board of Education last month approved relocating grades 5-through-8 with 7th and 8th graders moving from the Joy facility to the intermediate school and 5th graders going from the intermediate school to Apollo or New Boston elementary schools. The move would be effective with the 2022/2023 school year.
