A Milan man appeared in the Mercer County Courthouse Monday afternoon to face a burglary charge. 33 year old Edwin Minear was then remanded into the custody of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department to be held at the Mercer County Jail, but fled from the courthouse before he was secured. Minear was pursued by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies and Aledo Police and was apprehended a short time later in Aledo. Additional charges will likely be filed, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department press release.
