All Driver’s License Facilities Closed In Illinois, Including Mercer County Location

You’re going to have to go online to get a driver’s license or license plate in the state of Illinois until the coronavirus is in check. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White has ordered all of his offices closed during the outbreak, including the Mercer County location in Aledo. White is giving people a 30-day extension on their expired driver’s licenses or license plates. He’s also asking the federal government to postpone this October’s deadline to issue everyone a Real ID compliant ID.
