Although some municipalities allow side-by-sides and other ATV’s on local streets, that’s not the case on county roads. A weekend accident in rural Reynolds brought attention to that issue says Mercer County Sheriff Dusty Terrill.
In the rural Reynolds accident, a Polaris side-by-side was involved in a crash with a Jeep. There were no serious injuries, but the operator of the Polaris was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and improper operation of an ATV on the roadway. Reynolds Fire and Ambulance responded to the Sunday accident.
