Blood supplies are running low this winter due to the harsh weather and local donors have a chance to give this week. Even the government shutdown also impacted blood supplies says Joe Zydlo with the American Red Cross.
The next local Red Cross blood drive is Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Mercer County VFW. Walk-ins are welcome or you can call 800-RED-CROSS for an appointment.
