It’s been nearly two months since former Mercer County Board member Fred Rooth was attacked in his rural Joy farmhouse and authorities continue to seek information on the crime. Mercer County Sheriff Dave Staley says the case remains a very active investigation.
The reward fund is over $23,000. The retired farmer was found badly beaten on May 8th. Among the items taken from his home was a safe.
