Illinois Department of Public Health now announcing 4,596 cases of COVID-19 in 47-counties. There have been 65 deaths. A new study out of the University of Washington projects that the coronavirus will hit its peak in Illinois on April 14th, according to Governor J.B. Pritzker and IDPH Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, who updated the statewide media Sunday.
Positive cases have been reported in Rock Island, Henry and Knox counties, but none in Mercer, Henderson or Warren counties.
Of the 4,596 cases in Illinois, 3,445 are in Chicago and Cook County.
