2025 Senior Spotlight – Ali Ehrhardt, Rockridge High School

Presented by Mercer County Family Eyecare

Ali Ehrhardt has left a lasting impression at Rockridge High School through her dedication to both academics and the arts. As a drum major, dancer, and future corporate lawyer, Ali has balanced grace and leadership in equal measure—and her senior year has been a celebration of all that hard work.

Ali’s favorite memory at Rockridge is one that perfectly captures her energy and versatility: conducting the marching band from the drum major podium in full uniform, only to sprint across the field and perform with the dance team moments later. “It was a fun and crazy moment,” she said. “But it really sums up how involved I wanted to be in everything.”

Her journey in music began in junior high, and she never looked back. She was assistant drum major as a sophomore and rose to co-drum major for both junior and senior years. “It taught me how to lead, how to communicate, and how to bring out the best in a group,” she said. “You have to make people feel seen and important, and that’s something I’ve really taken to heart.”

Ali’s leadership extended to the Rockridge dance team, which made big strides during her time. “We started formally competing my junior year and made it to the state competition,” she said. “The growth of the program has been incredible. We’ve become more involved with the community and more united as a team.”

On the academic side, Ali gravitated toward science courses, especially those taught by Ms. Mayrood. “I took chemistry, advanced chemistry, zoology, and botany,” she said. “They were challenging but fun. We got to do labs, experiments, and even field trips. It really opened my eyes to how science affects the real world.”

Still, it’s not science but business and law where Ali sees her long-term future. This fall, she’ll attend Purdue University to study accounting and economics, with plans to eventually pursue law school. “I’m hoping to go to Baylor for law school and become a corporate lawyer,” she said. “I want to help people solve complex problems and make an impact in the business world.”

Ali credits Rockridge for giving her a strong foundation. “It’s such a close-knit community. Everyone knows and supports each other. There’s something for everyone here—academics, arts, athletics—and they’re all supported equally.”

Whether it’s commanding a band, captivating a crowd, or preparing to advocate in a courtroom, Ali Ehrhardt brings confidence, determination, and a commitment to excellence. Her next stage may be bigger, but she’s ready to lead wherever she goes.
