Mercer County Fair week is here.
The event runs from Tuesday to Saturday at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Aledo. Grandstand entertainment this year includes the Mercer County Fair Queen Pageant on Tuesday, flat track motorcycle races on Wednesday, the Night of Destruction Trailer Races on Thursday, the Backroad Pullers Truck and Tractor Pull on Friday, and the demolition derby on Saturday. There are also livestock shows throughout the week, culminating with the Mercer County Youth Livestock Auction on Friday.
Mercer County Fair Board President Rita Williams says it’s a year-round process to put the event on each year.
