Mercer County neighborhoods should be on alert after car thieves and burglars leave their mark on Viola over the weekend. Viola Police Chief Troy Brock said on social media that this marks the second Independence Day weekend in a row that the town was hit. Brock said the thieves were rummaging through cars and opening garages on Friday night.
Mercer County Crime Stoppers is reminding residents to take valuables out of your car and keep your vehicles, garages, and homes locked. And also report any suspicious activity to authorities.
