The Sherrard Tigers ran their record to 6-0 with a 47-24 victory over Orion in Three Rivers Athletic Conference girls basketball Thursday night. The Rockridge Rockets raced out to a 29-9 lead at the half enroute to a 53-25 win over Morrison. In non-conference girls basketball Princeville beat Illini Bluffs 51-50 and Abingdon-Avon downed Monmouth-Roseville 69-55.
The only other action Thursday was junior high volleyball. In 7th grade play Wethersfield beat Mercer County 25-17, 25-23 and Orion beat Rockridge 17-25, 25-23, 25-21. In 8th grade play Wethersfield beat Mercer County 25-14, 25-22 and Orion beat Rockridge 27-25, 9-25, 25-19.
