Mercer County Farm Bureau Manager Jenna Preston visited the WRMJ studios to remind listeners about the high number of vehicles on the roadway carrying anhydrous ammonia. Preston says these are slow-moving vehicles and a collision between a vehicle and the tanks could cause a plume of anhydrous ammonia to release into the air.
Preston also urged residents to join the Farm Bureau, not only for the savings at hundreds of businesses, but for the lobbying efforts that take place on behalf of farmers in Washington, Springfield, and locally.
