Pamela J. Russell – Visitation 1/31/23

Pamela J. Russell, 73 of New Boston, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at her home. Visitation will be held 3 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services, Aledo. Pamela Jean Howlett was born August 23, 1949, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Eugene R. and Dora Mae Bentley Howlett. She married Jerry Russell September 12, 1970, in Aledo.

Pam was self-employed doing accounting and preparing income taxes for many clients. She was Supervisor for the New Boston Township and Multi-Township Assessors District for over 20 years. She also worked at various businesses doing bookkeeping throughout the years and volunteered for the Westmer Greater Parish doing their bookkeeping needs.

Pam was past Director of the Mercer County Senior Center.

She enjoyed reading and sewing, taking many trips with family, visiting with friends, playing Bingo, and collecting way too many teapots.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her sons, Adam L. (Jennifer) Russell of Aledo and Troy A. (Heather) Russell of New Boston; five grandchildren, Taylor Russell of New Boston, Kohlman Russell of Norfolk, VA, Destinee Russell of New Boston, Lauryn Russell of Aledo, and Laryssa Russell of Aledo; one brother, Donald (Joyce) Howlett of Aledo; one aunt, Erma Dobbins of Aledo; brother-in-law, Jeff Russell of Florida; sister-in-law, Joyce Ridgeway of Shelbina, MO; nieces and nephews, Brandy, Nate, Angie, Rhonda, Nate, Ryan, and Jay; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Jerry, in 2018; and one nephew, Brandon Howlett.
