Mercer County Clerk Phyllis Bewley is retiring. Her August 31st resignation is on next Tuesday’s Mercer County Board agenda. Bewley has been in office for eight-and-a-half years, last being elected in 2014. Her current term runs through December of 2018. The Mercer County Board will have 60 days to appoint a replacement and the Mercer County Democratic Central Committee will offer a name for consideration.
