Livestock Hall of Fame Honor For Seaton Native Orth

Seaton native Neil Orth receives one of the livestock industry’s most prestigious awards. The 1959 Aledo grad was officially inducted into the Saddle and Sirloin Club portrait gallery last week. WRMJ spoke with him last summer just shortly after it was announced that he would receive the award. Orth took time to tell the local listening audience how important the Mercer County Fair was to his family. Many years ago, his late father Jim personally signed the note to keep the fair afloat.

Neil Orth is well recognized in the livestock industry and has received many honors throughout his career. He currently serves as executive vice president of the American-International Charolais Association in Kansas City.

Orth received his latest honor last week during the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky. The Saddle and Sirloin Club is considered the livestock hall of fame.
