The September winner of CBI Bank & Trust and Farm Country 102.3 Farm Strong award is Jim Hampton of Rural Aledo.
Hampton was nominated by his wife Stephanie. She explains why her husband is Farm Strong.
“I believe my husband Jim Hampton should be considered Farm Strong because he works hard and really loves his job. He is a 3rd generation farmer who has worked side by side with his grandpa and dad since he was little. They instilled a great work ethic in him that still continues today. Jim sets goals and works hard to achieve them. He puts in long hours and sacrifices time with family and friends. Our farming operation consists of cattle, hogs, crops, and a few show calves. On top of farming he is also the Preemption Township Road Commissioner. He ran for that position to help get our local roads in better shape for buses, farm equipment, and everyday travel. He is also a part of the Mercer County Farm Bureau. Even though all of this keeps him busy he still makes time for our kids. He always tries to make it to their activities even if that means showing up dirty or in a tractor. My husband pours his heart into everything he does, both as a hardworking farmer and a devoted family man.”
CBI Bank & Trust is committed to serving the ag community. Every month, CBI Bank & Trust and WRMJ honor a farmer with a $100 bill. If you would like to nominate your favorite farmer email farmstrong@wrmj.com.
