Orion High School football coach Chip Filler will continue serving in the role this week, despite coming under fire by a group of parents in the school district at a school board meeting last week.
The board met in executive session this week, but took no action on Filler’s status.
Filler spoke to WRMJ, saying he can’t comment on the matter, but is proud of how his team has handled the past week getting ready for the season opener on Friday.
Orion plays Hall Friday night at home.
