One person dead following a two-vehicle crash in lower Rock Island County. The accident occurred early Saturday afternoon in the 15300 block of 322nd Street West, Illinois City, according to a Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department media release. 79-year-old Cheryl Baldwin of New Boston, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was deceased at the scene. The driver of the same vehicle was transported to UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island for treatment. The two occupants of the other vehicle were transported to UnityPoint Health-Trinity Muscatine. The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by members from the Muscatine Police Department, the Illinois City Fire Department and the Rock Island County Coroner’s Office.
