Bureau Valley Applies For Lincoln Trail Conference Membership, Eyes Departure From TRAC

The Bureau Valley School District Board of Education approved the administration’s request to apply for membership to the Lincoln Trail Conference (LTC) and accept membership if the school is invited to join the conference Wednesday.

If invited by the LTC, Bureau Valley would join beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Bureau Valley has been a member of the Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) since 1999. This comes as other smaller schools in the league have left. In the past six years, Amboy, Fulton, and St. Bede have left the TRAC. Morrison will be leaving in the 2024-25 school year.

There are currently 13 member schools in the TRAC. Mercer County is set to join in 2024-25. If Bureau Valley is accepted into the LTC, the TRAC will be a 12-school league in 2024-25.
