Aledo being awarded a $600,000 grant. The announcement made yesterday by Governor J.B. Pritzker, who says the state will release $60-million to fund 118 projects.
The funding comes from the Open Land Space and Acquisition or OSLAD program.
Aledo will use the funding for a proposed aquatics center at the former Farmers Grain and Coal site. The project will include space for swimming, diving, and a splash pad for families.
