The Mercer County Family Crisis Center hosting a bike ride this weekend to bring awareness to domestic violence. The Break the Cycle of Domestic Violence Ride is Saturday morning. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month says the crisis center’s Marla Reynolds.
The bike ride is Saturday at 9 a.m. and begins from the Mercer County Family Crisis Center, located at 110 NW 3rd Avenue in Aledo. Their phone number is 309-582-7233.
Reynolds says in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the windows in the Mercer County Courthouse will feature purple lights during all of October.
